God Will Never Leave You
Hebrews 13:5 God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
Life is difficult at times. We may experience rejection or loneliness through the death of a loved one, divorce, people moving away, misunderstandings with friends or family. Jesus is the most faithful of anyone, His name is Faithful and True. He has promised to be with you always and will never leave you. If we seek God first in life and look to Him for our comfort, joy, love and companionship, then we are able to stand firm through the difficult times. When we look to people for friendship, strength, comfort, commitment, love, joy or peace, eventually they disappoint us. God is our ever present help in our time of need.
Trust God
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God ; trust also in me.
Today let simple faith be your focus, TRUST GOD!
10 Minutes
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
The key phrase of this scripture which I would like to emphasize is “pray continually”. Praying continually is not something that we are naturally motivated to do, but we must strive to do it. Jesus often withdrew from others to pray. There were times when He would pray all night; He also declared that His father’s house is to be a house of prayer. Consider making a commitment to pray for 10 minutes every day. Decide what you will be praying about and stay focused. For example, you may want to pray for your family for 10 minutes or your youth group, be specific and stay focused. Check the time before you start and go!
It is finished
John1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John19:30
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
When Jesus said it is finished, at that very moment there was a new spiritual law established. What John the Baptist had spoken three years prior was established with Jesus' last breath. Now understand this, when there is sin in our life and we confess and turn away from it, we are forgiven. The slate that had your sin written on it is wiped completely clean instantly, “It is finished”.
